2026 marks an important milestone in the evolution of our Institutional Transformation Action Plan (ITAP) at Universidad Europea de Canarias. Our university continues to strengthen its commitment to creating entrepreneurial thinking, developing global talent, enriching the student experience through impactful, hands-on initiatives, and creating stronger connections with the industry. Here we highlight several programs and activities that reflect our ongoing progress and our mission to empower students to lead, create, and innovate.
- Launch of the 4th Edition of UEmprende Factory
One of the cornerstone initiatives of our ITAP is the launch of the 4th Edition of UEmprende Factory, our flagship incubation program. Over the years, UEmprende Factory has supported more than 130 student and alumni entrepreneurs, consolidating itself as one of the most dynamic innovation hubs within our institution. Its international recognition continues to grow, underscored by being selected as a finalist in the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2025.
This new edition accompanies 15 promising projects over the course of five months, offering participants a comprehensive ecosystem designed to accelerate their ideas. The program includes:
- Hands-on workshops and practical training
- One-to-one mentoring sessions
- Specialised advisory services
- Access to a dedicated e-learning platform
- Networking with industry experts and peers
- Up to €5,000 in prizes for top-performing teams
Through UEmprende Factory, we reaffirm our mission to nurture entrepreneurial initiative and equip our students with the tools they need to build real, sustainable impact.
- Student-Led Clubs: Community, Creativity, and Engagement
Another major step forward in our ITAP development has been the empowerment of students to create and lead their own clubs. During the Clubs Fair at Universidad Europea de Canarias, the campus came alive with ideas, talent, and a contagious energy. Students had the chance to explore a diverse range of clubs, each representing unique interests, passions, and opportunities for collaboration. These student-driven communities are essential to building a richer university experience. They nurture leadership, teamwork, creativity, and inclusion, serving as platforms where students can grow personally and professionally while contributing to campus life.
- Strengthening International Mobility
Internationalisation has been one of the defining themes. Last year, Universidad Europea and Universidade Europeia welcomed 400 students from universities around the world who joined our academic programs for a six-month mobility period.
These mobility agreements and international partnerships reflect the strong commitment of Europe Education Group to global education. Welcoming students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds enriches our classrooms and broadens the perspectives of our entire community. International mobility is a catalyst for global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and academic excellence across the institution.
- Expert Talks and Masterclasses Bringing Students Closer to the Professional World
We continue to host expert talks, masterclasses, and professional dialogue sessions aimed at helping students bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world practice. These sessions provide direct insights from specialists and industry leaders, allowing students to understand current market trends, build valuable networks, and visualise their future career paths with greater clarity.
- LEIN CAMP 2025: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Beyond the Classroom
One of the most inspiring events was LEIN CAMP 2025, held on December 4th at the Pabellón Santiago Martín in Tenerife. Organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communications, this immersive learning experience took students outside the traditional classroom environment and into a space designed for discovery, collaboration, and personal growth. It focused on three core pillars: leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Through dynamic activities, inspirational content, and moments of reflection, students were encouraged to explore new ways of thinking and to strengthen the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
- Strengthening Training and Research Through a New Partnership
Universidad Europea de Canarias has signed a new collaboration agreement with Gestur Canarias to promote joint training and research initiatives. The partnership will support activities such as seminars, courses, conferences, and applied research projects, creating new learning opportunities especially for Architecture students. By combining academic expertise with Gestur Canarias’ experience in territorial and urban planning, the agreement aims to bring students closer to real professional practice and reinforce the university’s commitment to high-quality, applied education.
- New Collaboration to Advance Sustainability and Applied Learning
Universidad Europea de Canarias has signed a cooperation agreement with the public company Gesplan to develop joint training and research initiatives. The partnership will promote seminars, projects, and advisory activities linked to territorial planning, environmental management, and sustainability. This collaboration strengthens the university’s commitment to applied, real-world learning, especially within our newly created School of Sustainability.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate the steady progress of our ITAP strategy and our commitment to offering a transformative educational experience. At Universidad Europea de Canarias, we continue working to ensure that every student has access to the tools, opportunities, and inspiration needed to shape their future with confidence and purpose.
