The Digital and Distance Education Department within the Politehnica University of Timișoara, in collaboration with the European Universities Alliance E³UDRES² and Accelerate Future HEI project, with the support of IEEE Romania is happy to announce the 13th edition of the International Workshop Open Education & Science Practices 2026 on Friday, March 6, 2026, 10:00 – 15:00 EET (9:00 – 14:00 CET). The event will be held in a hybrid format and participants can opt for ONLINE registration, via Zoom or on-site, in the K1 Room – UPT Conference Center in Timișoara.
Under the theme “Digital and emerging technologies in education and science”, presentations will focus on how digital technologies, open science and open educational resources are applied in everyday life, especially in the context of universities, research projects, but also education in general.
Short paper submissions are open until 1st of March
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts (2-4 pages) on educational achievements, research results and recent developments related to education, science and open practices and present them in person in Timisoara or online. Please provide a concise and informative title, incorporating relevant keywords that reflect the main content of your paper, as well as a brief summary. All contributions are subject to rigorous peer-review, and accepted papers will be published in open-access format by Politehnica University Publishing House. Contributions highlighting the achievements of EU projects, innovative open practices at all levels of education, digital and emerging technologies in education and science, and conceptual papers are highly encouraged.
